The States Developmental Football League will hold open player tryouts starting Saturday, November 19th 2016 in Fort Smith Arkansas and concluding March 25th 2017 in Houston Texas. Team Coaching staffs and General Managers will be on hand to evaluate players in attendance. Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash, broad jump and short shuttle, with position-specific drills to follow. Players must be prepared upon arrival with appropriate workout gear and cleats/footwear. Testing will take place on grass/turf. The tryout will be full contact. Pads and helmet are necessary for 1 on 1 drills and situational drills. Kickers will not be evaluated at the tryout. All other positions will be evaluated and are encouraged to participate. No prior football experience is required.

All participants can pre-register at a discounted rate using a credit or debit card on the S.D.F.L.'s official Ticket Leap page. Online pre-registration ends at noon the day before actual tryout. The cost of the tryout is $40 for those who pre-register online and $60 on the day of the tryout cash only! Personal checks will not be accepted. On the day of the tryout, registration will begin an hour before scheduled tryout! All tryout participants will also receive a States Developmental Football League workout t-shirt.
